Iona has something for everyone!

Iona’s 18 hole golf course is on our doorstep and our guest rooms look over the holes to the Bay at the Back of the Ocean beyond. A selection of clubs and maps are available and a round can be had for a small donation towards the upkeep of the course. An annual tournament takes place in August and attracts players from all over the world.
We can supply you with a bicycle for exploring some of the rest of the island. Iona is 3 miles long and 1.5 miles wide so this doesn't amount to a lot of tarmac to cycle on. No visit to Iona would be complete without a visit to the Abbey. Iona Abbey is credited as the birthplace of Christianity in Scotland. Here you may take a guided tour of the Abbey and join in the daily services of worship.

To learn more about the people who lived and worked on Iona, the Heritage Centre is the place to go. This is situated in the old manse of the Parish Church and a pleasant afternoon can be spent here among the many old photographs and accounts of life gone by. The adjacent cafe offers tasty hot soup and scrumptious home baking.
Other places of interest include the Hermit's Cell, Marble Quarry, Dun I, and attending the Village Hall for one of the many ceilidh's or events is considered a highlight.

We are able to book you a table at the best places to eat, and reserve a place for you on one of the available boat trips. Also we can share with you the hidden parts of Iona, off the beaten track, and which many visitors miss.
